Name: Project Kiwi
Genre: Platformer Shooter
Target Audience: Casual gamers
1. Gameplay and Mechanics
Gameplay Loop: The player moves horizontally through levels and uses the mouse to aim and shoot.
Weapons & Enemies: Various weapons and enemies, ranging from melee to rocket launchers.
Special Mechanics: Health and armor as gameplay elements.
Level Structure: Level-based. Players must reach the end of the level with a limited number of lives; upon death, they restart the level (trial-and-error gameplay).
Endbosses: At the end of certain levels, there are end bosses.
2. Level Design and Progression
Movement: Horizontal movement with multiple routes.
Environments: Different thematic landscapes per level.
Objective: Reach the end of the level.
Death & Restart: Players have a limited number of lives; if they die, the level restarts.
3. Game World and Story
Story: A story element will be included in the game (details to be determined).
Main Character: Currently a regular citizen (may change).
NPCs: Stores where players can buy weapons and cosmetics.
4. Progression and Economy
Currency: Enemies drop coins.
Store: Players can visit stores between levels to purchase weapons.
Loadout: Players choose which purchased weapons they want to use at the beginning of each level.
5. Controls and Interface
Controls:
- Aim with the mouse.
- Shoot by clicking.
- Move with the arrow keys or WASD.
- Jump with the spacebar.
HUD:
- Number of coins.
- Number of lives.
- Current level.
- Time taken to complete the level.
6. Audiovisual Style
Graphical Style: Pixel-art.
Music:
- Night levels: Relaxed music.
- Day levels: More active music.
Visual Effects: Lots of explosions and visual effects.
7. Technical Details
Engine: GameMaker.
Special Features: Some blocks are destructible.
Platform: PC.
